Day 4: Postcards from the Cook Strait

Day 4: Postcards from the Cook Strait

Welcome to Day 4.2 of the 9 day journey through New Zealand's North & South Islands. The last part of this day was spent watching the sunset on the Cook Strait & trying to keep the Go Pro in place. Here are some photos from the trans-island ferry embedded with helpful tips.

It takes a couple hundred dollars to get from the North Island to the South Island of New Zealand. The least you can do is enjoy the view.

Take the evening ferry so you can see the sunset.
When you're going to catch a very expensive ferry, leave adequate time. Don't be late.

Bring food on the ferry. The ferry food isn't the best.
Your selfies will never be as good as asking someone to take a picture of you. Luckily, you're in New Zealand, so everyone is extremely nice and approachable.

Sometimes people take crappy pictures (For instance, when I was in front of a beautiful sunset and asked someone to take a picture of me- they took a picture of just me. (They cropped the sunset out.) Anyways, sometimes it pays to ask multiple people to take pictures if you're not satisfied with the one you get. Vanity.
